about
Before the calluses formed, your palms were tender; they were soft to the touch. Your grip was not as tight and your skin not as thick. You might have been easily bruised. As life continues on, you find yourself standing before the base of mountains or even trekking down a valleys ridge. So you climb, clinching onto anything on the way up and when you fall, grabbing onto anything on the way back down. Constant friction is reshaping you and what was once sensitive is now seasoned. You know every inch of the good, the bad, and the ugly you’ve endured to get to where you are now, even if all that anyone else sees are just the calluses.
The idea here is, mainly, to allow yourself to feel and to think. Mahalo for your support.
